Mandatory evacuation of more villages announced in Donetsk Oblast

The coordination headquarters to carry out mandatory evacuations in nine villages of Marinka and Ocheretyne hromadas in the Donetsk region. [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a city and its adjacent territories. ]

Quote: “We have to carry out a mandatory evacuation of the villages of Marinka (Antonivka, Ilinka, Zoriane, Oleksandropil, Zhelanne Druhe) and Ocheretyne hromadas (Mezhove, Voskhod, Novoselivka Persha and Zhelanne). “

Details: Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk region’s military command, said it is imperative to evacuate citizens of the region, families with children and others with health problems to safer areas.

“We’re working on this with our partners and partner organizations,” Filashkin said.

According to Filashkin, as of January 24 there were 72 young people in the Marinka and Ocheretyne hromadas.

Background: On 27 January, Filashkin reported that 467 people, in addition to 102 children, had been evacuated from settlements along the line of contact during the week.
