Mandukio returns to Italy, leader of the AC Milan championship

MILAN (AP) – AC Milan on Tuesday signed Mario Manduki, 34, to support 39-year-old Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the italian league leader’s title attack.

Milan said the Croatian veteran “had reached an agreement until the end of the existing season with the option of extending the contract for the next season.

He returned to Serie A, where he won four consecutive titles with Juventus from 2015 to 19, after a season in Qatar with league champion Al-Duhail.

Milan is by their first Serie A name in 10 years and is 3 numbers ahead of their local rivals. Milan are also in the Europa League 16 circular and will face red star Belgrade next month.

Manduki will wear the number nine shirt, the club said.

The Croatian won a Champions League name for Bayern Munich in 2013 and scored for Juventus in a 4–1 loss to Real Madrid in the 2017 final.
