The 27-year-old defender moved to BVB from Barcelona in the summer of 2016, but has fought for first-team football in recent months and leaves the club after only 12 Bundesliga appearances this season.
“I can barely find the words to describe all the moments and emotions I’ve experienced here over the more than 18 months,” Bartra told the official BVB website.”I never imagined it would be imaginable to feel so much love and help from one of the most productive football families in the world. You’re a follow-up example. I’ve given it my all at all times. We were able to retrieve a trophy after a few years without one and celebrate it together., or any of the other moments.”
Bartra has a special bond with Dortmund fans, even more so after injuring himself when three bombs exploded next to the team bus, a striker in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals against Monaco on 11 April last year.

“Marc is a wonderful user and a wonderful footballer, who promptly convinced us,” said Hans-Joachim Watzke, CEO of Dortmund.”Unfortunately, he was subjected to something surely terrible in Dortmund through the cowardly attack [on the team bus].In this context, we respect Marc’s preference to return to his local country and leave everything behind. As we feel indebted to Mark in one, we have been very accommodating in negotiating this transfer. Borussia Dortmund wish Marc and his family circle the most productive.for the future. We’ll be connected to each other.”
The Spanish international, who won the DFB Cup with BVB in May 2017, has competed in all competitions for the Ruhr giants.
