Marcus Rashford transfer: Borussia Dortmund push to sign Manchester United and England striker

Borussia Dortmund are now pushing to signal Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford, to Sky Germany.

Dortmund have held talks and have now decided to continue with the loan of the England international.

The Bundesliga side distanced themselves from a potential deal earlier this week, with Rashford saying it was head coach Nuri Sahin’s most sensible target.

According to reports, the expected price (even if) for the striker is more than Dortmund can afford.

That stance now appears to have changed, but AC Milan are also very concrete in their interest and are actively trying to secure a deal to sign Rashford themselves.

Rashford’s camp have spoken to a number of European clubs this month to explore the conditions of a deal.

It is believed that Manchester United’s preference would have been for a direct loan deal for Rashford, if they allowed him to leave Old Trafford.

Once Rashford was left out of the squad of the day for Thursday night’s Premier League win over Southampton.

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim asked after the FA Cup third round victory over Arsenal last weekend if Rashford had played his last game for the club.

Amorim said, “I don’t know. We’ll see. “

Rashford is AC Milan’s priority over Manchester City’s Kyle Walker in the January transfer window, according to Sky Italy.

Pep Guardiola demonstrated last weekend that Walker and his representatives were “exploring” his characteristics after informing sporting director Txiki Begiristain that he was looking to travel abroad.

According to Sky Italia, AC Milan sounded out the defender some time ago in case Fikayo Tomori left the club, but his move was blocked by the arrival of new coach Sergio Conceicao.

It remains to be seen if this time it can be different, but Milan can sign an English player due to the current Serie A regulations.

Per season, Serie A clubs can register up to three non-EU players and one extra from the UK or Albania if they have no current non-EU players in their squad.

If they already have one or two non-European players, they can add two more non-European players.

If they have more than two non-European players, they can acquire two more non-European players, but one of them must have played for their national team in the last 12 months.

Milan would have bought only two new non-European players this season due to the number of positions already filled.

They did it this summer with the signings of Emerson Royal from Tottenham and Strahinja Pavlovic from Red Bull Salzburg. This means that Milan only have one more position left for a British (or Albanian) player.

Even if they sell a non-European player, they still can’t sign a UK-based player. This is a space consistent with the consistent record with the period (season).
