Marcus Rashford’s new stance on leaving Manchester United for PSG after rejecting Saudi Arabia

Marcus Rashford is reportedly “open” to joining Paris Saint-Germain, and could move away from Manchester United this summer.

England had a poor season with the Red Devils last season, scoring seven goals and registering two assists in 33 Premier League appearances.

Rashford’s lackluster performances prompted calls for him to be replaced on the left wing by younger options such as Amad Diallo, but Erik ten Hag has remained at No. 10 throughout the campaign.

However, the 26-year-old may not pay tribute to his coach by walking away from Old Trafford, in the face of interest from PSG.

According to HITC, the Ligue 1 side are expected to rekindle their interest in Rashford as they look to recruit replacements for Kylian Mbappe ahead of next season, and the striker is “open” to heading to the Parc des Princes this summer.

United are set to offload their academy product in the coming months after being caught out by their poor form last season, with the striker’s off-field antics also raised as an ongoing issue.

Saudi Pro League groups have been alerted to the situation, as have PSG, but Rashford does not need to travel to the Middle East and is strongly in favor of a move to Paris.

Luis Enrique’s side have yet to start negotiations on a deal as it stands, and the club’s top brass are waiting for encouragement from United and Rashford before submitting an offer to lay the groundwork for a deal.

The payment the Red Devils will make for Rashford has yet to be announced, Sir Jim Ratcliffe would possibly be willing to negotiate a deal for one of his club’s highest-earning players, given that the INEOS leader is keen to orchestrate his own rebuild.

United hope to strengthen their ranks at the ends of the field for next season, signing at least one centre-back considered a precedent in the Theater of Dreams.

Ten Hag has also made it clear that he hopes to get a striker who can compete with Rasmus Hojlund for ninth place in his starting XI.
