Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban and U. S. Republican Sen. Ted Cruz engaged in a Twitter fight following comments from the politician about his opinion that the league’s social justice message has caused his low ratings in the NBA Finals.
Cruz first tweeted an article in Fox News host Sean Hannity about the number of audiences in the NBA Finals, which reached an all-time low of $5. 9 million for Game 3 last Sunday through Sports Media Watch.
He then commented on the article and a hashtag (#GetWokeGoBroke) suggesting that he felt that the NBA social justice movement had played a role:

Cuban fired Cruz, who represents Texas in the Senate.
Texas is home to 3 NBA in the Houston Rockets, San Antonio Spurs and Cuban Mavs, and the owner has accused Cruz of encouraging the failure of the league (and through the association, Texas and its employees).
