PSG, Olympique de Marseille’s great national rival, will face Bayern Munich in the Champions League final this weekend.
Following PSG’s 3-0 win over RB Leipzig in Tuesday’s semi-finals, there were several clashes in Marseille between fans and Parisian supporters.
A guy arrested after about 50 OM ultras patrolled the city’s Old Port district to disconnect TVs and threaten teams of PSG supporters watching the game.
This led to an announcement Thursday that PSG would be banned at the port center on Sunday.
However, today it showed that the resolution had been revoked.
On Twitter, the local government said: “The only purpose of this decree was to protect Parisian followers and it did not intend to limit freedom of movement.
“In the face of the misunderstanding that accompanied this decree, the prefect of police now has to repeal it.
“On Sunday, there will be forces or orders deployed around the old port domain and they will be especially vigilant to avoid any action that may cause problems, without exception.
Marseille is the French team that has won the biggest festival in Europe.
Reims, Saint-Etienne and Monaco achieved maximum success.
PSG will now win the prize for the first time in its history when it faces Bayern Munich in Lisbon.
