Room service
The hotel underwent a six-figure renovation earlier in the year, just as Covid first hit those parts, as the 40 rooms became fashionable. The look is this fashionable Scottish atmosphere, where thick fabrics are combined with charcoal popsicles, fresh and gold sheets. Our room surpassed the falling river and Peterculter Golf Course. It’s possible I’d have seen my toes from my bathroom, if I’d looked for it. The bathroom was a delight with its wavy ceiling and Italian-style shower, with bright white towels like new ones and Molton Brown toiletries in small reusable ceramic canisters that looked wonderful and pointed to a brilliant gesture opposite the stupid grades of plastic te. In short, a wonderful room that I’m in no hurry to leave.
Budget or Store
It is a unique four-star boutique that prides itself on its history and is maintained independently, has a warmth that other large hotels simply cannot locate and a quality that small hotels have difficulty achieving.
Wines and meals
The Poacher’s Brewery blends a casual atmosphere with an impressive menu, each dish dotted with other sensitive items of local produce and small twists and surprises. My friend, affectionately known as ‘ham heid’ given her long love story with any pork cut, had Speyside’s pork, apple and celery abdomen to begin with (9 euros), which struck perfectly abundant and soft notes, while I had an orange duck salad that ignited the appetite with its deep, earthy flavor (8).
For the main course, Grace’s Highland Beef (14 euros), a mix of Jacob’s ladder, cheek and butt, served with carrots and kale, won the show’s most productive, each song making a song its own little song. colin (13 euros) with mussels, melted potato and lemon, was a pleasure and only a very productive step due.
