Mason Mount hired his Chelsea teammate Callum Hudson-Odoi after the club’s Premier League defeat to Arsenal.
Hudson-Odoi replaced Timo Werner’s summer signing of Chelsea at Saturday’s break and provided a hand for Tammy Abraham’s comfort goal.
Frank Lampard’s team fell to their third loss in four games when Arsenal claimed a wonderful 3–1 victory to end their shocking streak.
Mount criticized Chelsea’s functionality in north London, but said Hudson-Odoi had provided the Blues with at least one result.
“We all know what Callum can do and it came here and that spark,” Mount told Chelsea’s official website.
“He’s very face-to-face and we just have to give him the ball one by one and check to create opportunities.
“He did very well when he got here and that’s all he can get out of the game. “
Mount added: “It’s anything we have to think of ourselves as players,” he said. We don’t start the game like we are.
“We set up Chelsea, we’re a great club and we have to look at ourselves as players and say it wasn’t smart enough.
”We know it’s a wonderful London derby and we have to start the much more wonderful match than we do. We have to be difficult with ourselves.
“We can’t start a game like this and hope we don’t be 2-0 at halftime. It’s a complicated lesson and we have to be informed and we have to do better next time. “
Chelsea’s defeat placed them in 7th place in the Premier League, six-time Liverpool, which has a match on his hands.
Lampard-shaped Aston Villa on Monday and Mount suggested their teammates respond.
“We’re wonderful players, so we can combine and recover from that performance,” he said.
“It’s probably best that we have this quick rotation because now we’re watching the game.
”Arsenal is gone, there are still wonderful things we want to paint on, but now we have it a day before our next game and we can put it in our head and get into Villa with a strong mindset, starting the game very well and well in the game.
