Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi has joined Hertha Berlin on loan for one season.
The French midfielder has been unbalanced by Arsenal’s wishes since his 2–1 loss at Brighton on 20 June, in which he worried about a post-match altercation with Neal Maupay.
The departure of Guendouzi can open the door for Thomas Partey to move to Arsenal from Atletico Madrid.
Arsenal are expected to comply with its forty-five million pound clause on the deadline.
It turns out that Sead Kolasinac’s possible move to Bayer Leverkusen failed in the last hour, but Lucas Torreira moved in the opposite direction from Partey to Atletico Madrid.
Guendouzi, who joined the Lorient Gunners in 2018, has a contract at Emirates Stadium until 2022.
The 21-year-old has played 82 times for the club in all competitions, scoring once and giving assists since making his debut in August 2018.
