Kylian Mbappe’s goal propelled Paris Saint-Germain into the Coupe de France final with a 1-0 win over Stade Rennais on Wednesday, moving them closer to their 15th trophy.
Mbappe opened the scoring five minutes before half-time with his eighth goal of the tournament at the Parc des Princes after tapping home a ball from Fabian Ruiz.
Rennes were desperate to equalise in the second half to force a penalty shootout, but Martin Terrer’s effort was the most productive they could muster, while goalkeeper Steve Mandanda denied PSG an extra lead.
Luis Enrique’s side will face Lyon in the final on May 25 after beating Valenciennes FC 3-0 on Tuesday.
