Memphis-Arkansas state opener will have no heel

Memphis will still play in Arkansas State on September 5, but the game’s atmosphere will be another around Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium.

The university announced that tailgating would not be allowed as parking will open two hours before the start. Parking will also be limited to enthusiasts who have purchased tickets.

The start time and television news have not been announced.

Memphis is also switching to virtual price tickets for the 2020 season to restrict contact between price ticket holders and fans. Those who have purchased price tickets will earn main express points on how to enter the stadium, parking spaces and seats through the mail.

The sports branch announced in June that only season-priced ticket holders would be able to access the games and that no priced tickets would be released. Earlier this month, the branch announced that subscription holders had the option of separating at 6 or 12 feet, according to Department of Health officials.

The deadline for price ticket holders is Wednesday.
