Memphis is now promoting a limited number of single-game tickets for football games at home after the Shelby County Department of Health replaced social estating rules for sports venues this week.
The sports branch announced Friday that enthusiasts can purchase tickets online for one of Memphis’ remaining five games or purchase a five-game package for as little as $125.
Memphis had not planned to sell tickets to a bachelor game due to stricter rules implemented through the fitness branch this summer. Only subscription holders had the opportunity to attend the games.
Things changed Tuesday when the fitness branch issued its new directive allowing sports venues to welcome enthusiasts six feet away from 12. Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium will now host about 12,000 enthusiasts compared to just over 4,500 for the Tigers season opening on September 5. .
The Liberty Bowl will now be at 20% of its capacity on October 17 (2:30 p. m. ABC) when tigers (1-1, 0-1 AAC) receive No. 25 Central Florida (2-1, 1-1).
