Mercato OL: Les Gones coach rejects Fabio Grosso

Olympique Lyonnais (OL) have been rejected for the first time in their search for a coach to replace Fabio Grosso, who they dismissed on Thursday 30 November.

In the morning, Olympique Lyonnais made the decision to compose tactically with their Italian coach, who had arrived at the Rhône club two months earlier. Now, the race to succeed him is underway and a trail has already been opened. According to Foot Mercato, Igor Tudor has made it known that he is interested in the Rhône club’s challenge.

The Croatian coach needs to return to Serie A, just over a year after leaving Hellas Verona. Recently, his call had circulated to take charge of Napoli’s fate before Walter Mazzarri was selected to succeed Rudi Garcia.

Pending the appointment of a new coach, Pierre Sage will be the interim coach of Lens (Saturday, 17:00) and probably OM (Wednesday, December 6). Returning to OL school this summer, the 44-year-old was in the past assistant to Habib Beye at Red Star.

Unconditional fan of the French Cup and Football Manager. Having worked for WebGirondins, Daily Sports, BeIN Sports and Quinze Mondial, I am embarking on this new adventure with the concept of staying in this as long as Alex Ferguson at Manchester United.
