Manchester United’s season reached a new low with a humiliating 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth at Old Trafford on Saturday.
The defeat, the third in four league games, left fans angry and pundits critics.
Michael Owen didn’t hold back, singling out Noussair Mazraoui for a costly error that handed the visitors a crucial second goal.
The Red Devils were already trailing 1-0 when Mazraoui, playing as a makeshift backup center, made a reckless takedown on Justin Kluivert in the penalty area.
Instead of containing the danger, Mazraoui’s decision gifted Bournemouth a penalty, which they converted to double their lead.
Moments later, the Cherries added a third, sealing a second consecutive 3-0 victory over United at Old Trafford.

Speaking in the productions of the Premier League, Owen has not chopped his words. “It’s not only reckless; it’s stupid,” he said.
“What on earth are you doing there? Kluivert wasn’t in a dangerous position, and Mazraoui didn’t need to dive in. Just stay on your feet.”
Owen also criticised United’s overall mentality, saying: “This team is down 1-0 and you never think they’re going to come back. They’re not a smart team right now. “
Manager Ruben Amorim echoed the disappointment, acknowledging the team’s struggles but vowing to push forward.
“Bad moments don’t last forever,” he said post-match.
However, with United Christmas at the bottom of the league for the first time since 1989, the pressure has mounted.
Amorim faces a daunting task of turning things around, with fans losing patience and the team’s performances showing little sign of improvement.
