EAST LANSING, Michigan (AP) – Aaron Henry scored 14 points, 8 rebounds, 4 blocks and 3 assists for Michigan State No. thirteen beat Notre Dame 80-70 on Saturday night.
The Spartans (2-0) closed the first half with a 17-0 streak in more than seven minutes and scored the first nine numbers from the time part to take a 22-point lead.
The Fighting Irish got off to a smart start in their first game and led 26-22 before being goalless for more than nine minutes, a drought that began in the first half and continued in the second.

The large, deep and athletic team had 10 blocked shots and six interceptions in the first half and finished with 12 blocks and nine interceptions.

Prentiss Hubb of Notre Dame had 23 problems, Nate Laszewski had 12 problems and rebounds, and Dane Goodwin added 12 problems.
