Mike Tomlin expects full ben Roethlisberger participation in the camp

When Steelers’ offensive coordinator, Randy Fichtner, spoke to reporters Wednesday, he said the plan for Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger to reject Heinz Field later that day.

It’s head coach Mike Tomlin’s turn to meet with the media on Thursday and said the plan had been replaced after Fichtner’s session. Tomlin said delaying work is a team resolution, but added that it’s not because they think Roethlisberger’s right elbow is rarely in a position for a full workload.

“He threw, and that pitch goes well,” said Tomlin, Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. “We have no reservations about the fact that he is completely concerned about this process.”

Steelers players will acclimatize to camp in the coming weeks before their first padded workout on August 17.

I need a healthy, measured, solid boy until he’s real.
