That’s what everyone is looking to understand, because the T’Wolves seem to be starting to see their lottery selection as a burden rather than a blessing. Whether Minnesota will enter the selection or use it to choose one of the 3 most sensible drafted selections is still unknown, but the Timberwolves will be at the forefront, as they will certainly improve no matter what they do.
Minnesota is entering a new era, replacing former first-choice general Andrew Wiggins with D’Angelo Russell. With D-Lo and Karl-Anthony Towns the cornerstones of the existing franchise, the Wolves have a wonderful chance to climb to their core and place the player who marries among the pieces he already has with 3 selections in the next draft.

For Minnesota to maximize its offseason, the 2020 NBA draft will be crucial.
Russell and KAT are a strong and dynamic offensive couple, but Minnesota lacks defensively, those two are their most productive players. His defensive deficiencies were reinforced by the absence of Robert Covington (who sent the Houston Rockets into a four-team industry that eventually allowed Minnesota to hire Malik Beasley and Juan Hernangomez).
After seeking to place their third star with the first overall selection, the Timberwolves will have to concentrate on building a more powerful defensive presence while placing 28th in the opponent’s problems consistent with the game. The Timberwolves are meant to be a team with big names and no good fortune unless they can arrest someone.
