Mizzou Football gets two signings on the portal

COLUMBIA, Missouri (KMIZ)

Eli Drinkwitz and his coaching are adding two more transfers to his 2024-25 roster. Former Michigan linebacker Jeremiah Beasley and former Georgia Tech defensive lineman Eddie Kelly have announced they will be traded to Mizzou.

Beasley, the first player to sign with the Tigers on Wednesday. The 6-foot-1, 230-pound prospect is part of the 2024 scouting elegance and was rated a four-star linebacker, according to 247 Sports. The recruiting site also ranked Beasley 26th in its position in the country and sixth in the state of Michigan.

The Michigan native recorded 120 total tackles and five sacks in his senior season in high school. You will have 4 years of eligibility upon arrival in Colombia.

Less than 30 minutes after Beasley’s announcement, Mizzou got a commitment from Kelly outside of the moving portal. The Florida local is indexed as a three-star move through Rivals and On3.

The 6-foot-4, 278-pound defensive lineman played two school football seasons at South Florida and Georgia Tech. In his rookie season, Kelly played 11 games in South Florida, recording 19 total tackles and 1. 5 tackles. for loss. Most recently, he finished his sophomore season at Georgia Tech, recording twice as many tackles in his rookie campaign, five tackles for loss and 1. 5 sacks in thirteen games.
