While Inter Miami continues to dominate MLS Cup odds, they are making their money against FC Cincinnati for the top spot in the Eastern Conference.
In the West, LAFCs continue to decline as they chase the LA Galaxy.

They overcame a resounding 6-1 loss to FC Cincinnati by winning back-to-back games, once pulling away in the East.

After a slow start to the MLS season, FC Cincinnati entered the race for the East by winning 12 of 14 games, culminating in a big win against Miami.
However, they revived that momentum by forgoing their next 3 games.

Don’t look now, but last year’s MLS Cup champions are starting to gain ground.
The Columbus Crew have won 10 of their last 12 MLS championship games and, with two games in hand against FC Cincinnati and Inter Miami, they may move up the standings sooner rather than later.
With the stingiest defense in the league (22 goals allowed), the Crew falls behind.
The top seven teams from the convention participate in the MLS Cup playoffs, with the highest ranked team receiving a bye to the convention semifinals. The convention’s six other groups compete in single-elimination matches, with the highest seed serving as host. In total, the MLS Cup playoffs are played in 4 rounds, with single-elimination matches.
The MLS Cup Playoffs will begin after the normal season ends on October 21, 2024.
