MLS Cup Odds: Welcome to Miami

The Columbus Crew may be MLS Cup champions, but sportsbooks have tabbed Inter Miami as the odds-on favorite to win next year’s MLS Cup trophy. Join me as I break down the full MLS Cup odds.

The MLS Cup playoffs are over and the Columbus Crew is your MLS Cup champion!

Anticipating next season’s football odds, bookmakers are opposed to a full Lionel Messi season in Miami, making them the favourites with 309.

Let’s break down the full odds below.

I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a team sitting outside the playoffs, so far behind in the season, ranked among the favorites to win the championship.

That’s the position Inter Miami found themselves in last year once Lionel Messi made his debut, and if not for a few nagging injuries that kept him sidelined, Inter Miami could have very well made the postseason and done damage.

So what have the sportsbooks done now that we are likely (and hopefully) getting a healthy Messi for the entire MLS season? They’ve covered their asses and have made Inter Miami the odds-on favorites to win next year’s MLS Cup.

From a team perspective, they are likely to return all key contributors from last year’s late-season push, in addition to adding Luis Suarez — Messi’s close friend and former teammate in Barcelona.

Given that Los Angeles FC has been to back-to-back MLS Cup finals (winning once), it stands to reason that they will be fighting for a name next season as well.

Barring a significant rotation (I read minimal, in any case), LAFC will be the crème de los angeles crème of the Western Conference.

They’ll probably have to fend off Seattle once again, but I wouldn’t jump out of the window to make LAFC disappear next season.

The top seven teams from the convention advance to the MLS Cup playoffs, and the top-ranked team receives a ticket to the convention semifinals. The other six teams in the convention face off in single-elimination matches, with the host being the top-ranked team. In total, there are 4 rounds in the MLS Cup playoffs, with single-elimination play.

The MLS Cup playoffs will begin shortly after the end of the regular season on October 21, 2024.

MLS futures quotes are constantly adjusted during the offseason due to player transfers and injuries. Once the season begins, name odds will be replaced as groups win and lose games and more players get injured or suspended. Sports betting will also adjust MLS odds based on habit. and responsibility of certain groups.

MLS futures quotes will look like this:

This means that with a $100 bet, you’ll win $500 if Seattle wins the MLS Cup. If the end of the festival is nearing or if a club has been dominant, you’ll see it with a minus sign (-) in front of its odds.

You’d have to bet $115 to win just $100 on a LAFC MLS Cup win.

Above we have posted the American odds for MLS. However, these are easy to convert to decimal odds or fractional odds with our odds converter tool.

LAFC won the 2022 MLS Cup over the Philadelphia Union.

The L.A. Galaxy have won an MLS record five championships, with DC United just behind with four.

A total of 15 others have won the MLS Cup, including LAFC, who won for the first time in 2022.
