The finals of the 2020 MLS Cup playoff convention feature 3 people familiar with this level of the playoffs.

The Seattle Sounders, Columbus Crew and New England Revolution played 11 MLS Cup games and their coaches finished the season with a trophy.

Minnesota United is the new team right now. The Loons will make their first final West Conference appearance against Seattle on Monday after beating Sporting Kansas City 3-0 on Thursday.

Columbus and New England will face off in the final of the East Conference on Sunday in what will be one of the ultimate games at Mapfre Stadium and Columbus is expected to move into a new home in 2021.

The team and the revolution have been part of the 25-year history of the MLS East Finals, but this is just the moment when they have faced each other in the convention finals.

When: Sunday, December 6, p. m. ET, ABC

Odds: to be determined

New England is about to return to the MLS Cup final for the first time since 2014, when its current coach, Bruce Arena, the architect of the Los Angeles Galaxy victory.

The Revolutions are the Buffalo Bills of the MLS. They have five East Conference playoff titles, but they still have the trophy.

This is his maximum productive chance of getting the name, with Carles Gil dominating the rival defenses. The Spaniard has been the highest value player in the Playoffs of the East, and it can be argued that he also deserves the name for the whole league.

Gil returned to the lineup on 1 November and had two goals and three assists in all three New England playoff games.

Darlington Nagbe will have the task of keeping Gil a secret on Sunday afternoon. Nagbe is one of the few players to avoid Giil throughout a game.

If the team helps keep Gil quiet, they can distinguish the New England defender through their offensive trio of Lucas Zelarayan, Gyasi Zardes and Pedro Santos.

Zelarayan, the newcomer of the 2020 MLS Year, has 3 assists in the playoffs and plays a key role in unlocking the last 4 of the Revs.

Zardes, who opposes his former Los Angeles manager Galaxy Arena, scored several goals in a bachelor tiebreaker for the first time in his career.

However, he faces a New England defensive that he has awarded twice in his three playoff games. Keep an eye on Tajon Buchanan in the last four.

Buchanan had a massive effect against Philadelphia and Orlando City and could help break the team if Gil is suffocated by Nagbe.

New England deserves no concern on the road and, unless Gil is stopped from playing, the Revs can qualify for the MLS Cup after winning the eighth seed in the East.

Prediction: New England 2, Columbus 1.

While Alonso interrupted games in the last four, the Loons won 3-0 in a row over Colorado Rapids and Sporting KC.

Seattle’s defense is no stranger to putting tacos on rival game creators in the playoffs, and that may be the key to securing the MLS Cup spot.

Shane O’Neill, who scored the purpose of the victory opposed to FC Dallas, a charming marvel as a central defender after spending the last two years as a fringe player for Orlando City.

Seattle also has the lead on the net with Stefan Frei, who has conceded 23 goals in 25 playoff openings in his career.
