There have been more than 100,000 COVID-19 deaths in Brazil and more than 3 million cases.
When the country crossed the threshold of the 100,000 dead, protesters threw a thousand red balloons into the sky over Rio de Janeiro’s famous Copacabana beach in memory of those who died.
The occasion organized through the organization Rio de Paz, or Rio por la Paz, and presented as a critique of the government management of the fitness crisis.

“It’s an act of citizenship. It hurts me to be here, it hurts me to be here to prove that my son will not go through my appearance in the Father’s Day Arrangement … and it hurts me a lot to see other people come by and say it’s a lie, it’s fake news, it’s an act of terror.”
Silva noted that another 100,000 people killed by the virus are for many families suffering losses and leaves thousands of others private.
A four-metre-long poster, with the word “100,000 – why are we the country with the highest number of deaths at the time (COVID-19)?” posted on the site.
But the increase in mortality has yet to deter some Brazilians from dangerous behavior.
Hundreds of football enthusiasts celebrated in Sao Paolo to celebrate Palmeiras’ victory in the championship. The demonstration opposed regulations and few people wore face masks.
Others check to inspire others to be more careful.
On the streets of Formiga, a guy dressed as Grim Reaper stood on the road to warn car passengers of the danger of wearing a mask to stop the spread of the virus that is destroying the country.
