Moretto: Leipzig table offer for Okafor despite no agreement being found

RB Leipzig’s interest in Noah Okafor is not fading, and this afternoon, the German club have sent an offer to AC Milan regarding the winger.

When Okafor arrived at Milanello, no one expected an immediate effect, but the Swiss made occasional appearances on the bench and had an effect on matches. However, when given initial opportunities, he failed to impress.

Under Paulo Fonseca, it was much of the same. Despite the issues with Rafael Leao, the winger was still unable to make a huge impact, and now it seems he is heading towards an exit, a fate that originally may have been meant for Leao.

In recent days, the interest of RB Leipzig has become more intense, and today, Matteo Moretto has reported that the German outfit have made an offer to Milan – a loan deal with a €12 million buy clause also inserted.

Moretto says an agreement has not yet been reached between the two clubs, and this is likely because the Swiss winger is expected to be assessed through Sergio Conceicao in the coming days.

However, with the Marcus Rashford scenario on the rise, it is possible that a deal could be reached more quickly with the Englishman in mind.
