Mountain West announces eight-game football season on October 24

Mountain West will play an eight-game football season on the weekend of October 24, the convention announced Thursday night.

The resolution came shortly after Pac-12, the main football forces convention in the west of the country, declared its return, scheduled for November 6.

The Mountain West championship game is scheduled for December 19, while rules for a season are still subject to approval through the respective national, regional and local school authorities.

No Mountain West team qualified on the pre-season ballot of U. S. sports coaches. But it’s not the first time TODAY in August, but Boise State won enough votes to be the 25 most sensible outdoors.

Mountain West is the latest convention to oppose its decision to postpone the 2020 season due to physical fitness considerations raised by the coronavirus pandemic. Big Ten opposed last week and pac-12 announced plans hours before Mountain West on Thursday.
