Mourinho insists he would possibly not use Tottenham’s adjustment schedule as an excuse to oppose Manchester United

The premier league week’s top prestige adjustment will be between Manchester United and Tottenham.

Both groups, of course, expect to compete for a spot in the top four at the end of the season, who will no doubt need to have one with their rivals as soon as possible.

Sunday’s clash is also Jose Mourinho’s additional seasoning at Old Trafford.

The vocal Mourinho maintains a kind of unusual rivalry with his old club. Since the march of Sir Alex Ferguson in 2013, the Portuguese tacticatic has been the red Devils’ top successful leader.

However, he was captured in spite of everything at the end of 2018 and would certainly like to have one over successor Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, especially since the Spurs only received one point against United last season.

Their stay at Old Trafford also brings them closer to a surely busy Spurs agenda.

Last Sunday, the Lilywhites faced Newcastle in a league clash, followed by a League Cup outing on Tuesday and a Europa League draw on Thursday.

Playing 4 high-level games in the one-week area would obviously be tricky for any team.

However, speaking before his team’s assembly with United, José Mourinho trusted that he ended up complaining about Tottenham’s match list and would not use that, or anything else, as an excuse if north Londoners fail at Old Trafford:

“I’m used to [the timing being unfair].

“This is the last, the last game. I don’t need to complain. I’ve moaned and moaned enough with genuine things in my hands and I don’t think he disagrees with me.

“But now there’s only one more game left, only United. And there are no excuses. They only had one game for the week and that was Wednesday and probably most of the players who played won’t play on Sunday. But possibly I would, not that. “
