Willian went to social media this afternoon to a sense of message confirming his departure as an indefinite agent for the former Chelsea club.
Brazilian striker Willian’s long streak has been in limbo for a while.
That comes with the 32-year-old, who has been running at Stamford Bridge since 2013, having made a long move at the expiration of his contract with Chelsea.
The Blues are believed to have made repeated efforts to link Willian to new terms, however, in negotiations, former Shakhtar player Donetsk has been willing to sign a contract until 2023.
As such, agreement was reached on a short-term extension for the remainder of the successful COVID-19 crusade, a long-term upcoming divorce had been planned.
And, as mentioned above, this was confirmed this afternoon.
On his official Twitter account not long ago, Willian posted a candid message to Chelsea enthusiasts, thanking Blues enthusiasts for their support, while delivering his resolve to move on:
“AN OPEN LETTER FOR CHELSEA FOOTBALL CLUB FANS.”
“It was seven glorious years. In August 2013, when I won Chelsea’s offer, I was convinced that this was where I deserve to play. Today, I am convinced that this was the most productive decision. There were so many satisfied moments, some sad, there were trophies and it was very intense ».
“However, beyond trophies, I learned a lot from myself. I’ve evolved a lot, fitting a better player and a better person. Every education session, every single game, every single minute I spent in the locker room, I learned. »

“In fact, I am grateful to Chelsea enthusiasts for the loving way I was welcomed at Stamford Bridge and for their help during my time at the club. There have also been complaints, which is normal, but what is vital is that either the affection and grievance have led me to give each and every one of the things in each and every educational session, in each and every match, to constantly improve up to the last minute with the Chelsea shirt ».
“The time has come to move on. I’m sure I’ll miss my teammates. I will miss all the staff at the club who has treated me like a son and I will miss the hobby. I step with my head up, knowing that I’ve won things here and that I’ve done the most productive thing with a Chelsea T-shirt!
“Thank you all from the back of my center and God bless you!”

Of course, a multitude of clubs have been promoted as destinations for Willian before next season, with the addition of the free agent of the experienced Brazilian international, in the midst of an era of monetary uncertainty, a tempting proposal for clubs across Europe.
Tottenham, Bayern Munich and Barcelona are the idea of having shown interest at one time or another, it is some other team that has long been the pioneer in signing Willian.
The one in question? Arsenal.
Mikel Arteta’s gunners have reportedly filed a three-year contract for the striker, and an official announcement regarding the replacement of Willian Emirates now seems imminent.
Unless there are any backward dramatic changes, Willian is expected to be an Arsenal player in the coming days. That’s how it fits into Arteta’s plans.
