Mykhailo Mudryk has ruled out Chelsea’s final home game of the season against Bournemouth.
The 22-year-old winger suffered a suspected concussion in a collision with Brighton’s Tariq Lamptey in a 2-1 win at the Amex Stadium on Wednesday night.
Christopher Nkunku replaced Mudryk in the minute and scored in the second half, after Cole Palmer had opened the scoring earlier.
Mudryk showed on his Instagram account that he had been out of Sunday’s game against the Cherries at Stamford Bridge.
He posted: “Unfortunately, the season for me is over. Thank you for all your messages, I feel better. Next season, Les Bleus. Es part of the game. “
Reece James was sent off for sending off Joao Pedro in the final minutes against Brighton and will serve a four-match suspension.
The club captain will miss the match against Bournemouth as well as the first three games of next season, with one more game added to his suspension for being sent off at Newcastle at the start of the season.
Otherwise, Mauricio Pochettino has an almost full squad for the final matchday, after Ben Chilwell was substituted as an unused substitute on Wednesday. Carney Chukwuemeka is about to return to action.
That leaves Enzo Fernández, Romeo Lavia, Robert Sánchez and Wesley Fofana as players still injured.
