Napoli wins appeal for Juventus abandoned after coronavirus outbreak

Napoli won his appeal opposing the decision to give them a 3-0 defeat and to discount a point for betting his Serie A adjustment on Juventus in October amid confusion over Italian football coronavirus regulations.

The Italian Olympic Committee (CONI) showed its officer that its Guarantee Board, the highest court in Italian sport, had accepted Naples’ appeal and ordered the adjustment to be played.

Tuesday’s resolution left Napoli and Juve in 24 issues in 12 games, the same as AS Roma in general who, as leaders AC Milan (31) and Inter Milan (30), played 13.

Previously, Juventus, which pursues a tenth consecutive name, had finished third with 27 points.

There were no quick comments from Napoli or Juve on the decision.

Napoli did not travel to Turin for the Juve setting on October 4, claiming that his local fitness authority (ASL) had told players to stay home after two members of his team tested positive for COVID-19.

Serie A rejected Napoli’s request to cancel the match, prompting scenes at Allianz Stadium.

With the setting still officially activated, the stadium opened and the spotlights on.

Juventus, which appointed their team, and adjustment officers were provided and had to wait forty-five minutes after the scheduled start time before the adjustment was officially abandoned.

The Serie A disciplinary court, which awarded Napoli a 3-0 defeat and deducted a point, rejected the club’s claim of force majeure and said there is a transparent fitness protocol for professional football.

Napoli then an initial appeal to the Italian Football Federation (FIGC).
