LISBON, Portugal (AP) – Goalkeeper Keylor Navas is back in the home line-up of Paris Saint-Germain for Sunday’s Champions League final against Bayern Munich.
Navas missed the semi-final against Leipzig with a right leg muscle that forced him to be replaced by Sergio Rico in the quarter-finals against Atalanta.
Bayern manager Hansi Flick opted for Kingsley Coman instead of Ivan Perisic for the last at Benfica’s Light Stadium. Perisic had been the regular starter on the left but replaced by Coman in the last two games.
In search of their first Champions League title, PSG will be in full force in attack, with Neymar, Kylian Mbappé and Angel Di Maria all playing. Di Maria scored one goal and scored two more in the team’s 3-0 win over Leipzig in the semi-finals. Mbappé came from the bench wedged in front of the Atalanta because he was injured.
Five-time champions, Bayern, by their first European name since 2013, will again count on their high-level attack. It is directed by Robert Lewandowski and Serge Gnabry, who combined for 24 goals. Lewandowski is 15 years old, two less than Cristiano Ronaldo’s record of 17 in an unmarried Champions League season.
While Bayern have the attack at the festival this season, PSG has the defense, led by Brazilian veteran Thiago Silva and defensive midfielder Marquinhos, who will depart on Sunday.
