Whether described as an epic drop through the highly favored Los Angeles Clippers or the maximum setback in NBA history for the underdogs Denver Nuggets, the West Conference Finals game for the 2020 playoffs is now officially established.
With a 104-78 win in Game 7, Denver overcate a 3-1 deficit to disappoint Los Angeles and thwart the charge of being the “Battle of Los Angeles” between LeBron James and Kawhi Leonard.
Now James and his co-star Anthony Davis will face Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray’s duo.
The first game between the Mile High team and the last status team for the City of Angels will be held on Friday, September 18.
But as exciting as the series is, there will be a lot of discussion about the game that wasn’t between the Clippers and the Lakers and what awaits us in the long run for the former.
Meanwhile, the Miami Heat won the first game of their series with the Boston Celtics in a game blockade through Bam Adebayo.
The denial to the limit was so impressive that it brought out Magic Johnson’s hyperbole.
“Bam Adebayo’s blockade on Jayson Tatum’s overturning attempts the most productive defensive play I’ve noticed in the playoffs,” Johnson tweeted.
