The 2023-24 NBA season is moving quickly and the league abandoned its preseason schedule Wednesday.
The NBA preseason begins on the fifth of October with a showdown between the Dallas Mavericks and the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. The two groups will meet in the United Arab Emirates on October 7.

The NBA announced in May that the Mavericks and Timberwolves would play two preseason games in Abu Dhabi as part of a multi-year collaboration between the NBA and DCT Abu Dhabi.
In the 2022–23 preseason, the Atlanta Hawks and Milwaukee Bucks participated for the first time in the league in the Persian Gulf.
In addition to Abu Dhabi, the Mavericks will play a preseason game against Euroleague champion Real Madrid at the WiZink Center in Madrid, Spain, on Oct. 10.
It’s a special fit for Luka Dončić, who signed with Real Madrid at the age of thirteen before becoming the youngest EuroLeague and EuroLeague Final Four MVP in 2018, when he was just 19.
Another highlight of the preseason schedule is the game between the Utah Jazz and Los Angeles Clippers at the Stan Sherriff Center in Honolulu, Hawai’i, on Oct. 8. Proceeds will be donated to Maui Strong of the Hawai’i Community Foundation. Fire Fund.
The Canadian cities of Montreal and Vancouver will also host pre-season games. The Toronto Raptors will face the Sacramento Kings on Oct. 8 at Vancouver’s Rogers Arena and the Oklahoma City Thunder will face the Detroit Pistons on Oct. 12 at Montreal’s Bell Centre. .
The Raptors have a natural connection to Vancouver as they are in Toronto, but the game between the Thunder and Pistons will feature one of Canada’s most prominent stars, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
The normal 2023-24 season begins on October 24.
