NBA Playoffs 2020: Full first-round results and predictions for the semi-finals

The two most sensible seeds in the NBA Eastern Conference will have to make changes to maintain their naming aspirations.

Milwaukee and Toronto dropped the effects of the first game in Miami and Boston, respectively, and want to replace those that protect the strengths of their opponents.

For the Bucks, it can be something as undeniable as a transfer to a fast player, while Raptors can take advantage of certain box spaces to gain an advantage.

The two Eastern Conference semi-final series will finish two games before the Western Conference reaches this stage.

The Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Clippers are their wary parts of the two Games 7 on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Semi-final predictions

Toronto in Boston at 7

Toronto had weak scoring functionality in the first game.

For the first time in the bubble and in 17 fights in total, the Raptors failed to succeed in the hundred points.

Nick Nurse’s team produced 25 issues in 3 of the 4 quarters and shot 25% from the 3-point diversity compared to Boston’s 43.6%.

One of Toronto’s few positives is that it forced 22 turnovers and produced 22 assists on 31 on the field.

Serge Ibaka may be the key to unlocking Boston’s defensive catch, as he only had a double-double rebound in the first game.

If Ibaka plays well opposite Daniel Theis and Enes Kanter and extends the court by scoring 3 points, it can confuse Boston defensively.

Toronto may also want bigger exits from Marc Gasol, who had seven problems and six rebounds and scored less than part of his goals on the pitch.

If the two players in the front zone increase their contributions and Fred VanVleet improves their 11-point functionality on Sunday, the Raptors may be in better shape in the future.

Defensively, Toronto wants to stay better on the perimeter. Boston threw 43.6% of the three-point distance in the first game, and five players hit two or more shots in the middle.

In the first round, the Raptors kept the Brooklyn Nets at 33.7% intensity and 39.7% of the field.

If the Raptors force Boston’s triples, they can limit the production of Kemba Walker, Jayson Tatum and others in key periods and win some games.

But it might not be an easy task for the Raptors, as the Celtics have as many offensive characteristics as the protective champion.

Given the proximity of the two in-depth groups, we may see a seven-game series between the two contenders for the NBA Finals.

Milwaukee in Miami at 6

Milwaukee has to paint on some to recover in front of Miami in Game 2, but those are repairable.

The main adjustment the Bucks make is to place the Defensive Player of the Year Giannis Antetokounmpo on Jimmy Butler in the final stages of each and every game.

In the last four minutes of the first game, Butler scored thirteen of Miami’s 16 points.Tyler Herro was the only other Heat player to score in that period.

If Antetokounmpo reinforces his defense over Miami’s most sensible scorer, the Bucks may have the merit in Game 2.

Antetokounmpo also wants to increase its score after accumulating 18 problems on Monday. He had two other performances with fewer than 20 bubble problems, but both were caused by minute restrictions.

Everything in the first game hasn’t been bad for the Bucks since Khris Middleton produced his performance in the playoffs.

Against Orlando, Middleton failed to find consistency in scores. He scored 21 points in Games Four and 5, but needed a push in the second half to succeed in the unit numbers.

On Monday, Middleton scored part of his box goals and three-point goals and led the Bucks with 28 points.

If it delivers at the same speed and combines with Antetokounmpo to produce 25 or more problems each, Miami’s defense could be under more pressure.

Middleton can also be the key to overcoming the warmth of the three-point range. In the first game, the Bucks scored four shots of three more points.

Butler will most likely make life difficult for the Bucks in some parts of the series, but if they make the right adjustments, their name hopes may not fade into the convention semifinals.
