College football is still more than a month from adding its fourth primary convention (the Big Ten) to the fray, but the fourth week is nothing less than intrigue and turmoil. With the SEC starting this weekend, enthusiasts received a clever concept of whether their team will be a contender or a contender at the country’s toughest convention.
After 4 weeks, and with 3 primary meetings underway and the other two making plans to return to football in the next six weeks, here’s a look at our predictions for the new top-25, adding some new faces (as well as a couple of the Big Ten).

Weekend up and down for the SEC
Alabama looked as dominant as ever in the 38-19 win over Missouri, where the final score was much tighter than ever. Mac Jones is not Tua Tagovailoa, but he had no challenge in locating the litany of Crimson Tide’s game creators, especially the star. Catcher Jaylen Waddle. The junior hit eight passes for 134 yards and two touchdowns before Alabama secured the most of his starters in the third quarter.
At RedBaton, however, LSU had an idea of what life would be like without Joe Burrow, and it was not pleasant at all. Mississippi State Graduate Transfer Quarterback KJCostello released a 623-yard SEC record and six touchdowns in head coach Mike Leach’s deyet in the SEC, and the Bulldogs scored 44 issues over protective national champions. Burrow’s successor, Myles Brennan, pitched three touchdowns, but he also released two costly interceptions that returned to hang the Tigers.
Georgia and Auburn won, the latter in search of an impressive 29-13 win over Kentucky No. 23. The Bulldogs, however, have an enigma in their hands as a quarterback. Jamie Newman’s task, the Georgia Technology Graduate Transfer, however, chose not to participate in the 2020 season due to considerations about COVID-19. USC Transfer JTDaniels has been granted an immediate NCAA eligibility waiver, but has not yet fully recovered from a previous cruciate ligament injury The initial task, for now, is in the hands of D’Wan Mathis, but replaced half of Saturday’s game against Arkansas through former Stetson Bennett, who completed 20 of 29 passes for 211 yards and two touchdowns without interceptions.
The big 12 can be out of the playoffs
It is highly unlikely to say that something will definitely happen, or possibly not happen, in this pandemic-shortened season, however, the big 12 would probably have lost their most productive chance of reaching school football playoffs this weekend. as a nationally named contender, he lost a 28-7 lead to Kansas State and lost a 38-35 favorite. Turns out the Sooners have a face game every year, and if there’s a smart side, I guess at least they ruled it earlier this year.
With Big Ten and Pac-12 playing with such tight schedules, it’s hard to wait if an Oklahoma team potentially 9-1 would win an Ohio State 8-0. But if Saturday’s exhibition was an indication, the Sooners have things to paint before they have that stage.
