Nebraska football propels The Big Ten to play the 2020 season in an open card

Nebraska football circle members sent an open letter to Big Ten Commissioner Kevin Warren after the convention postponed all fall sports for the 2020-2021 school year.

The parents wrote that they sought to “express our discontent” with the decision. They also ask for more transparency about why Big Ten canceled it.

“We don’t need to despise the severity of this terrible disease, but it doesn’t go away,” the letter says. “Our children are in a position to take on that threat and dedicate themselves to mitigating it this fall.”

Even before Big Ten announced his final decision, Cornhuskers head coach Scott Frost raised the concept that the team would temporarily leave the convention to play football.
