Neco Williams awarded a new five-year contract at Liverpool FC

Neco Williams has put the pen on paper in a new five-year contract, as a compliment to his exponential in Jurgen Klopp’s first team.

The 19-year-old came out of the dark in 2019/20 to present senior team times in all competitions, winning a Premier League medal in the process.

The young side man has shown all the symptoms of his integration into the Reds’ formula since his league cup debut with Arsenal, and has since earned the position of Assistant Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Klopp fasted to “thank God Neco is there” after making “great advances in training” towards the end of the campaign, and has now been rewarded with a new five-year contract.

The Welshman joins the young stars of the escape Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones to pursue his long career for the Reds.

The deal links the 19-year-old to Liverpool until 2025, coinciding with Liverpool’s preference to remain their long-term combined team.

The teenager has been at the club from the under-nine level, moving from end to right-back, and signed his first contract at age 17 in January 2019.

“I hope if I keep getting better, maybe my luck will come. Age doesn’t matter to Liverpool and if you’re smart enough, you’re old enough,” Williams said on his first contract.

These are words he played as a beginning that came here nine months later.

He now waits longer after a “small organization season” with the club, believing him to be a “best player” with Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson day after day.

“I don’t think a bigger position to paint and follow than here,” he told the club’s official website.

“Last season my escape season, however, I think the more I play now, the more I train, I feel like I’m fitting into a better player.

“I feel like I’m going up a lot and, as I said before, Trent and Robbo and receiving your recommendation has helped me enormously.

“In training they inform me of what they do, they give me recommendations on what to do in attack and defensively.

“I’m learning massively, there’s no better position to be in now.
