Plans are advancing to upgrade a sports park complex south of Manchester with new facilities.

Following the approval of a plan-making application, a theme to express the conditions, the Manchester Youth Academy (MYA) has announced improvements of 300,000 euros at Rushford Park Sports Complex on Slade Lane in Levenshulme.

MYA has been managing the park complex since 2014, when Manchester City Council agreed on a long-term lease for the charity to offer sports activities and for other young people in the community.

The plans will make the last box resurface like a 3G football box, with Biffa’s investment, offering two football boxes on five small sides.

Another 7-player box is also included in the redesign.

Two football team locker rooms will be modernized in the construction of the pavilion, while other changing rooms will become a multifunctional open room for use as an educational, network and occasional space.

Construction of the improvements, which will charge approximately 330,000 euros, is expected to begin this spring and the paintings are expected to be finished during the summer.

MYA said updates will be a component of a long-term ambition to create a colorful network center that uses football as a way to attract citizens to a wide variety of activities to participate.

“We are excited and waiting for the final touch of this project,” said Abdul Qayum, director of MYA.

“For a long time, we have been limited to existing amenities and this investment will allow us to grow our core business, bringing together the local call for on-site recreational football activities at affordable prices. “

The plans were approved through Manchester City Council following a “detailed process” of MYA adding strategic planning, consultation and feasibility work.

The site will gain Section 106 investments, while advances in multifunctional areas have been made imaginable through One Manchester grants and the Manchester City Council Neighborhood Investment Fund.

MYA has taken over the control and maintenance of the site, as well as the improvement of the facilities that will be available.

The executive member of Skills, Culture and Recreation, Councilman Luthfur Rahman, added: “We are very pleased with the Manchester Youth Academy’s ambitious plan to double participation in the game at Rushford Park by improving and improving on-site education, youth and network program.

“We are confident that the master plan will result in particularly advanced sports amenities for the region, which will offer significant social benefits for the community, as well as the primary purpose of helping more people stay active and stay active.
