New Online Page Includes Resources After Maryland Bridge Collapse

Maryland has a news story with data on federal, state and local resources and systems similar to the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge, Gov. Wes Moore said Thursday.

The online page includes important information about the staff and companies involved. It also includes basic traffic updates for travelers and guidance on in-person resources that can be obtained through Maryland’s crisis recovery centers.

“My administration needs to make it as simple as possible for Marylanders to use the resources they have to mitigate the effects of the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse,” Moore said in a news release.

It will come with updates based on the governor’s four recovery directives, including: families of the latest victims, cleaning up the canal and opening shipping traffic to the Port of Baltimore, caring for all those affected by this crisis, and rebuilding the bridge.

Additional resources on the online page include direct links to data on rescue and response operations from Unified Command, updated traffic alerts and road closures from the Maryland Department of Transportation, and the official Maryland 511 Traveler Information Service.

The online page will be updated as more systems become available through federal, state, and local resources.

The Dali container was leaving Baltimore, loaded with shipping, bound for Sri Lanka, when it hit one of the bridge’s columns last month, causing the span to sink into the Patapsco River. Six members of a roadworks crew were killed.
