Newcastle United is in a position to bid for FC striker Porto Moussa Marega, according to reports.
Steve Bruce is lately looking for his team for the new Premier League season, which begins on September 12.
The magpies have been quite quiet so this window of movement, however.They only brought Jeff Hendrick and Mark Gillespie, or they signed for free.
Bruce now needs to point out strikers Joelinton and Dwight Gayle, according to the Portuguese media outlet A Bola (via The Boot Room).
Newcastle is believed to be willing to pay 13 million pounds for the 29-year-old, making him his first signing in the summer primary.
Marega can make the team more damaging in the future, as she has fought for her goals in recent seasons.
Joelinton has controlled two goals in 38 Premier League appearances since signing in July 2019.
Marega is a well-known goalscorer, with 60 goals in 145 games for Porto since joining the club.
It is also flexible because it can play as an attacker, ahead or on the right wing.
Marega currently has a termination clause of 27 million pounds in its current contract, however, Newcastle may only have to pay thirteen million pounds because they refuse to sign a new contract.
This means that Porto will have to fire the player as soon as possible, to waste it on a loose contract that expires next summer.
Newcastle’s hopes of signing Mali’s foreigner will be enhanced by his preference for the league.Marega would like to move to the Premier League to take the next step in his career.
So far, he has played in France and Portugal.
Marega’s season came in 2017/18 for Porto, when he scored 22 goals in 29 games by winning the Portuguese Primeira Liga.
