According to an exclusive report by The Besiktas Orta Cizgi, the Super Lig team is interested in signing Newcastle United defender DeAndre Yedlin.
The Besiktas is on the market for a right-back this summer after losing veteran Gokhan Gonul to Fenerbahce, and they have been connected to a Davide Santon movement of AS Rome.
Orta Cizgi claims that Newcastle United’s Yedlin is another target of the Turkish team and that they have added it to its variety list.The Black Eagles must rebuild their team after a disappointing season, but they have a limited movement budget.
Orta Cizgi gave no indication that Besiktas will continue with a transitional or permanent contract, however, the fact that Yedlin becomes a loose agent at the end of next season means that the Istanbul team can indicate a permanent agreement.
The U.S. right-back joined Newcastle United from Tottenham in 2016, and there have been recent reports that it has triggered the renewal, in this case, a transfer would be more likely.
Yedlin made 20 appearances in all Newcastle United competitions of the season, scoring one goal.
