PSG superstar striker Neymar tested positive for coronavirus, as did teammates Angel Di María and Leandro Paredes, according to L’Equipe. The club, brand new to champions league finalist, announced Wednesday that 3 players had tested positive for COVID. 19 have still shown their identity.
The club said it had implemented a coronavirus protection protocol and that players were being quarantined to prevent additional infections, although this has not been confirmed, AS claims that players are believed to have contracted the virus while on vacation in Ibiza.
Thomas Tuchel’s team now faces a confusing scenario at an attractive time: with 3 players inflamed by the virus, it’s long before the Ligue 1 season begins. While the league season has already begun for other clubs, PSG’s initial adjustment has been postponed due to its participation in the UCL final.
