“Thursday Night Football” is for week 2.
After starting the mid-week list with a star-filled game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Houston Texans to start the NFL season, the league will move in a different direction with an AFC North game.
Quarterback Joe Burrow will lead the Cincinnati Bengals as opposed to Odell Beckham Jr. and the Cleveland Browns, both in Week 2 after suffering losses in Week 1.
The Browns were hit through the talented Baltimore Ravens in a 38-6 loss, while the Bengals lost a much tighter game to the Los Angeles Chargers, a 16-13 verdict.
Here’s our selection for Thursday’s game, with line consensus data.
Cincinnati Bengals to cleveland Browns (-6) The Browns, at least in the role, have more prowess with catchers Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry, as well as halfbacks Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt. Quarterback Baker Mayfield, however, does not motivate much confidence, especially after his week 1 performance. The former No. 1 in the overall selection finished less than 54% of his passes for 189 yards and a QB score of 65. 0.
One thing for Mayfield, however, is the fact that he lost a game on Thursday (2-0) while recording victories in three of the four games against the Bengals.
Mayfield has never faced the Burrow Bengals. He’ll have the offensive part Joe Mixon and receivers AJGreen and Tyler Boyd on the shoulder charge.
So while Cleveland can return to array500, we’re willing to spot a team that scored six general problems in Week 1, a six-point lead.
