The Buffalo Bills, despite three early turnovers, won the AFC East.

The Bills rallied to beat the Miami Dolphins 21-14 at Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday night, officially earning them the AFC East and ending the NFL’s normal season. The Bills will now clinch the AFC berth and host the Pittsburgh Steelers next weekend. in your wild card game.

The Dolphins took the lead first, scoring on a 25-yard touchdown through De’Von Achne in the first quarter. The Bills responded, but only after an interrupted play through Josh Allen was caught by Trent Sherfield.

Late in the second quarter, Allen took a shot at Sherfield, but his ball bounced off a helmet at the line of scrimmage. Sherfield still controlled the catch and lifted his feet slightly to make the play and tie the game.

The Dolphins scored once to take a seven-point lead into halftime after Tyreek Hill put a 3-yard pass into the corner of the goal zone.

Allen put the Bills in scoring position in his next two practices, but failed to score on either occasion. First, just before halftime, they were stopped just before the goal line at the end of the allotted time. In the third quarter, he fumbled on a sack, which was his third turnover of the game.

It wasn’t until Deonte Harty, single-handedly, led the Bills back to the more sensible part of the fourth. Harty kicked a Dolphins punt 96 yards to land and tie the game.

Then, after a quick save, Allen combined a 74-yard drive into eight plays that culminated in a 5-yard touchdown pass to Dawson Knox to give the Bills their first lead of the game. prevent and a long run to kill the rest of the time, enough to give the Bills the seven-point victory.

The Dolphins will travel to Kansas City next week, where they will face the Chiefs in the wild-card round.

If this game ends in a tie, that means the Bills would visit the Chiefs in next Saturday’s wild-card round. And the NFL would stick the marquee game of the weekend on Peacock.
