After the game, Alabama head coach Nick Saban said he tried to deter Harris from overcoming obstacles:
“I tried to teach him not to, and it didn’t work,” Saban said. “For a wonderful guy, it’s pretty amazing that I can do that. “

Alabama Quarterback Mac Jones discovered open receiver Jahleel Billingsley for a 12-yard landing after Harris’ run to take a 14-0 lead in the first quarter.
Harris and No. 1 Crimson Tide won 31-14 to qualify for the National College Football Playoff Championship. The senior ball carrier ran 125 yards on 15 carries in four receptions for 30 yards at reception.
Alabama will now head to the national name game and face the Sugar Bowl winner, who takes a stand Friday among the No. 2 Clemson and Ohio State No. 3.
