“Gras is the setting call outside Liverpool FC gates.”
There can be no challenge to the name that accompanies Nike’s presentation of the reds’ new 2020/21 shirt on the sportswear company’s website.
The Liverpool’s external design is bold.
You know what you’ll get from the Reds’ space offerings. Designs may vary to offer a new interpretation of Liverpool’s number one colors, but not much can be done in a red uniform each season.
As such, the outdoor kit is where you can make your first supplier as new kits.
Nike is well aware of this, with its vice president of football apparel, Scott Munson, reflecting on his technique for designing any of the shirts.
“While we felt you had to be very respectful of the house, the exterior gives you more freedom and we created an ambitious statement,” he admitted. “We believe it is representative of the acceptance of the team and the youth of the city.”
The fashionable football blouse has a tendency to be designed on the basis of a combination of culture and nostalgic identity and this year’s shirt is no different, “inspired by the cultural references of the total city of Liverpool”.
The Liver Bird, an iconic symbol of the city, and the club’s shield have strongly influenced the color and it’s a theme that has been taken from the house jersey to join the two outfits.
Meanwhile, the swirling trend at the front of the shirt is fostered through Anfield’s Shankly Gates and also recalls Liverpool’s strong musical roots and fly posters discovered in the city to announce local music events.

It’s free, simple and doesn’t take any time.
However, turquoise is something new.
Critics of the Liverpool home blouse were to point out the look and feel of the goalkeeper’s shirt’s resemblance to the Zenit St. Petersburg offering, highlighting Nike’s design models and one of the biggest considerations from enthusiasts when the company replaced New Balance this year.
But with the Reds’ new outdoor jersey, Nike has created something in fact exclusive and unlike any Liverpool blouse that preceded it.
In the past, the colors of the red moment were basically an addition of white, green, yellow and black kits, with orange or gray for a smart measurement.
And in recent years, New Balance has built on a story thus bringing twists to nostalgic classics to fan delight.
However, the partnership between Liverpool and Nike marks a new era.
Under New Balance, the Reds nevertheless saw their expectation of an elusive Premier League name triumph in 30 years before an explosion of glory last year.
Nike takes over at a time when the club is at its best pride and looks firmly into the future, without using its beyond as the main inspiration.
But if New Balance’s time with Liverpool is over, his legacy is not forgotten.
While Nike’s color palette may be different, such audacity is not with its “Hyper Turquoise” kit that follows in the footsteps of the bright and eye-catching offerings that explained Liverpool’s rise under Jurgen Klopp.
Perhaps an involuntary nod to good fashionable fortune, even if they never admit it.
And with the torch now firmly passed to Nike, Liverpool expects its thirst for cutlery to continue to be extinguished as it moves in a new direction.
