FOXBORO, Mass. – The first-round pick of the 2019 New England Patriots, N’Keal Harry, visibly absent from the start of Wednesday’s practice.
Lately it’s hard to know why the open receiver isn’t present.
Patriot enthusiasts will also have to wait at least a day to hear about their team’s most intriguing undrafted loose agent, open receiver Jeff Thomas, who is out for the third day in a row of practice.
Offensive midfielders Sony Michel and Lamar Miller, whether on the physically impoverished list, Beau Allen’s defensive takeover, rookie supporter Anfernee Jennings and flight defenders Derek Rivers and Tashawn Bower also refused to practice.
Thomas, Allen, Bower, Michel, Miller and Jennings missed Practice on Tuesday.
Harry suffered injuries last summer in his first year with the Patriots, then put in 12 passes for 105 yards with two touchdowns in the normal season.
Thomas was a four-star rookie of the best school who had ever ranked live up to expectations in Miami before pointing himself out for the 2020 NFL Draft a year earlier. It may speed the Patriots’ offense when, despite everything, it reaches the driving range.
The Patriots only had seven healthy catchers for Wednesday’s practice with the undrafted loose agent Will Hastings limited. Julian Edelman, who was limited in Practice on Tuesday, Mohamed Sanu, Jakobi Meyers, Damiere Byrd, gunner Olszewski, Devin Ross and Isaiah Zuber were the only players to train.
