OUR DAME, Indiana. – The fourth Notre Dame football team, which ranks fourth, faced the University of Louisville on Saturday afternoon at Notre Dame Stadium and claimed a 12-7 victory over the undefeated (4-0, 3-0 ACC) this season. .

The Irishman ran the ball well, completing the afternoon with 232 yards in hauls. Sophomore Kyren Williams set the pace for the Irish backfield with 127 yards in 25 hauls, marking his third 100-yard run effort of the season.

Graduate student Ian Book had an impressive 13-yard landing in the third quarter to regain the lead over his and accumulate 47 yards on the ground. Book also amassed 106 yards in passes, completing 11 of 19 attempts.

The Irish defence limited the Cardinals to just 12 yards in the first quarter and off the board until 7:37 on the third. Notre Dame ruled ownership time in the first half, keeping the ball at 21:57 to 8:03 in Louisville.

In the middle of the moment, Louisville took its first and advantage of the game after making the first drive for an 83-yard drive to land. The Cardinals changed a quarter and two midfield on the drive and Marshon Ford hit the one-yard pass for the landing to crown the road.

Notre Dame responded with a 66-yard drive, which spanned 3:49, topped with a 13-yard Book landing pass that put the Irish striker 12-7 (the two-point conversion attempt failed).

The Irish will return to action on the weekend when they first hit the road in 2020. Notre Dame will face Pittsburgh on October 24 (3:30 p. m. ET) at Heinz Field. The game will be broadcast on ABC.
