Lyttle, head of U-19 and U-17, will advise an under-18 team at United and on Wednesday as part of the SuperCupNI tournament.
Yesterday’s opening parade at Coleraine brought together a host of promising players, with former Northern Ireland and Manchester United winger Keith Gillespie as an assistant to kick off the 2022 STATSports SuperCupNI.
Matches will run from Friday’s final at 17 venues in the Council areas of Causeway Coast and Glens, Mid and East Antrim and Antrim and Newtownabbey.
Northern Ireland and Manchester United face off tonight at the Coleraine Showgrounds and then at the Ballymena Showgrounds on Wednesday at 7:30am.
Lyttle’s 21-person panel is helping to showcase its under-19 and under-17 setups, with players from clubs as well as the Irish League and The League of Ireland.
“I see this as an opportunity for players to show what they can do,” Lyttle said on the IFA’s official website. “It will be a great control for the boys against such a well-qualified opposition. “
“However, I have no doubt that he will live up to the opportunity.
“There are qualifiers for Euro U19 this autumn and I am sure that the players of this team will also be part of this team. “
