Notre Dame extends coach Brian Kelly’s contract until 2024

Notre Dame and coach Brian Kelly agreed on a contract extension that will run until the 2024 season.

The agreement announced between the first and last quarters of the Game Fighting Irish House opposite Duke. Kelly is entering her eleventh season as a Notre Dame coach and her thirtieth season as head coach of school football.

Financial situations have been published through personal school.

“We are pleased that Brian runs our football program for the foreseeable future,” Notre Dame sports director Jack Swarbrick said in a statement. “These terms were agreed in December and we planned the next announcement of the Blue-Gold game In April, when the university switched to distance learning in March, we hope to make this announcement until we can return to the return of football in action and am pleased to share this wonderful news today.

The Irish are 92-37 Kelly, adding a 33-6 record with a playoff appearance in the last three seasons. Kelly comes with Lou Holtz’s Notre Dame record for top coaching games in the show’s history. He’s already tied Holtz with five double-digit winning seasons at Notre Dame.
