Notre Dame is already part of the ACC in school basketball and several other sports.

Between the Power Five conferences, the CCA, SEC and Big 12 have pledged to play football in the fall, while the Big Ten and Pac-12 have retired and at a later date will decide whether to play football in the spring.

Notre Dame has won double-digit games in more than 3 seasons, adding an 11-2 record last season and a 12-1 score in 2018. Of all the ACC groups this season, the Fighting Irish may have the most productive opportunity. to finish the five-year Clemson convention championship sequence.

The Irish are scheduled to play for the first time in the 2020 season on September 12 when they receive the Duke Blue Devils.
